As Rayne begins to learn how to deal with Damian...where did she get this courage and strength from? Sometimes I think that something must have been helping her. Wether it was mental or physical, she had to be persuaded by something. Mostly... When a person is changed all of a sudden there is usually a reason right? Well in this book Rayne's boyfriend is treating her badly. Not terribly but not the best either. I want to talk about my connection to this book and these particular characters.
I was watching a tv show about abusive in every way and I found it mind trembling. It was terrible and I've never been in that position but it hurt to see and I wanted to connect this show because this specific woman, grew confidence and stood up to this man. This made me happy for her because no person should ever let anyone step all over them. This sounds a lot like my other post but this is from a different view.
This is one of my favorite books and not becaue its about possession, but because of all of the thoughts behind the actual text of the story. I was introduced to this story by brianna nd I thank her because I fell in love with this book from the beginning. I hope that if you decide to read the book, I hope you like it!!

Escaping To A Trapped Place...
Knowing that who you are with is wrong for you, don't try to get away knowing that it's impossible. I'm not talking about physically running away, but mentally escaping the danger that lies between you and a self-controlled life. 3ayne, in "Possessed" by Kate Cann, Rayne is trying to live a normal life...but there is a specific reason and I don't think she quite knows herself either. I'm talking about her boyfriend...her older, controlling boyfriend. The reason I don't think she know this, is because she's not saying anything. Did you ever hear the slogan, "If you see something, say somthing" ????? This is kind of like the same situation. Rayne likes Damian a lot, but she doubts that they are meant to be. I trust you as readers to feel the passion in this book, and the questioning and the story behind this characters feelings.
I also want to talk about the physical trying the escape. As you guessed, this book is about Rayne being possessed by something she knows is out there. She is convinced that there is something that wants her to stay. This is related to mental escape because It is the same idea, but in different ways. There is a lot of talk about strange and powerful energy thatsurrounds Rayne, in the book. The idea I'm trying to get at is two ways to think of this strange presence. During the book you begin to see that Rayne begins to feel uncomfortable with Damian, and that she is being possessed by the same sort of thing, but different.
I really like this book and I was introduced to it by Brianna. She really enjoyed it, so I thought, Why not read it?? And I absolutly loved it!!!! You as a reader should try to look more deeper into the book instead of just reading the words. I hope you enjoy the book if you decide to read it!! :)

Gone Again...
I'm reading the book called "Possessed" by Kate Cann. I just started reading this book and I really like it. This book is about a girl who gets "taken over". Okay so I dont want to give you a retell on the book but, Rayne(the main girl/character) gets possessed and has a controlling boyfriend. This book is really good but some parts really bother me. She lets her boyfriend say stuff to her and she doesn't stand up for herself.
First things first, DO NOT under any circumstances let ANYONE step all over you. Stand up for yourself. One line that stuck out to me in the book was...
If I can just get through this night , I'll be okay, i can leave in the morning, leave and never come back.
This line was really important to me, and its also on the blurb, because it kind of gives me an idea of what kind of person the character is. it also shows that the character is going to go through some rough times duing the story. Reading the other couple of lines just like this one, I got more of a feel of the story. This also connects to what we did in class about the key facts and important and different lines in stories. These lines can help you make inferences about what you might be having to read next.
What I like in books, such as this one, is that the author purposly set up these "little phrases" to set a mood about thinking. This book has a lot of "little phrases" and that is one of the reasons why I like it so much. If your a person who likes to be led into what you are going to be reading next, then this is the book for you!!
This book also has a lot of detail which is another good thing. These details also lead up to the "little phrases", which lead up to knowing that something is wrong, such as her controlling boyfriend. I didn't realize that all of these topics connected until I actually dug deeper into the book and what the author wanted me to Know, Think and Feel. I got a pretty good feel of what I was supposed to Know, Think and Feel.
I recomment this book to people who like detailed stories and being suprised but with a little lead. I loved this book and I hope you do too. :]

Reaching for hand that isn't quite there yet....
Okayy so im reading "When it happens" by Sarah Dessen. I didn't really want to read this book at all!! But when Cynthia was reading it, she told me how good it was and i just HAD to read it. I loved the great connection that I felt between myself and the book. It was so strong and I just couldn't stay away from it!!
When I began to read the book i kind of felt that I wasnt quite totally into it yet. As I got deeper into the book, I felt so connected to it and I actually loved it so much! I don't usually read a book because of other people's experiences but theis book sounded soo interesting!! I'm happy that i chose to read this book because of theamazing experience that i got from it. My introduction to this book wasn't great but the best things happen when you let it come to you.
I would like to recommend this book to people who like unexpecting stories and effecting stories. This book definatly effected me. It told me about how a person can change something that may seem to be not changable. This book tought me a lot about relationships and the sacrafices you may have to make in order to make something that you love keep on going and continuing on. This also connects to my post about how drugs can change someone because that was an example of a sacrafice that someone made because of love! <3
I loved this book and I hope your experience will be as great as mine was!! have fun! :)

Can you be changed by the....."goods" ???!
I'm still reading the book "when it happened." This is a really good book and the book has a lot to do with drugs or "the goods" One of the things I was wondering about was, once drugs change you...can you be CHANGED back?? Are you really ADDICTED to it?? Can it really CHANGE you?? So as I was reading, I figured out that just the right amount of drugs CAN probably change a person...
A certain amount of a type of drug can effect you. And not in the way you want it to effect you. In the book the characters want to change eachother into better people. If you set your mind to doing something or changing yourself, you can definatly do it, but there has to be a reasn why you want to. In this case its eachother, they want to changefor eachother. They have something to look forward to, and someone to prove something to. Its just like they are wearing masks and when they see eachother or talk to eachother, they take those masks off and become their true selves or who they want to be for those people. I would change for someone if I knew it was to better myself and make myself more presentable. But if you like who you are and don't feel like you need changing, then don't change for anyone but yourself. Its your choice
but you just have to think it through.
This book shows a good example of the both sides of addiction. It shows that you really can be addicted to drugs but not because they taste good, but because they make you feel good. Another question I had was..WHY do they make you feel good? What do they make you feel like? Why do you feel to commited to it? Do you chose to do this? These questions where somewhat answered in the book because it showed that the character was willing to do drugs...was willing to change for someone else...was willing to do the things they did and was willing to make their own choices, to better himself.
When I say "change a person" I mean to make them look different...to make them act different and to make theit whole apperence different. Addiction is one of the reasons that these people change...some people to drugs so they don't eat...don't drink...don't do anything or just for joy or fun, but when you actually think of it, its dumb.
This book tought me a lot about all different things. Important things, not so important things, things I couldve gone my whole life without knowing and more. The point is that this book is made for all different types of people. I love this book so much and I hope that when you read it, you do too! :)

Is everyone who they seem to be?
I am reading the book called When It happens. There is social action in this book about being a follower of the wrong people and clans. When you know that there are bad romodels around you, you have to be your own person. What will help you be your own person? What will lead you to be a follower? What will make you want to be like these people? These are the questions that stand out the most in the book.
This book is about two people name Sara and Tobey, finding eachother by going through many other people. They think they like someone, but then they like someone else and then they finally find eachother. These people have gone through a lot in their past including drugs and worse. Tobey is like a bad boy but Sara tranforms him into a better person and even though her problems aren't as bad as his, he helps her too. Before they meet I feel like they are followers and this can effect many people because some bad things and habbits can rub off on you. This has a lot to do with peer pressure.
Peer pressure is a world wide problem. But to Sara and Tobey, their love changed this and Tobey flipped his personality. I think that people that read this book will know who to "follow" or hang out with or stay with. This is an example of social action because Sara tried to chage Tobey and she helped him. People who read this book will also know what to do when being peer pressured or know someone who is being peer pressured.
The author is probably trying to get the point our there that, peer pressure is not a good sign and not to be a follower and to be your own person. This is not what the book is all about but it is a big issue and Sara takes action and tries to change Tobey into taking what he's got and making the best out of it and to make your own choices in life.

Charlotte's Web
SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!
Charlotte's Web is an inspiring book. The story is so real even though it is so not. This book is about a pig named Wilbur, he is an inspirational character yet at some point he is seen as the child in this story. Wiblur is grown up by a young girl named Fern, she loves and cares for Wilbur. Finally the day came that Wilbur had to grow up on his own and live in the barn with other animals. He seems so lonely until he believes that he can make a friend...and he does! He meets a small but mighty character named Charlotte. She is a spider and then becomes the mentor in the story. Wilbur thinks he is going to die but Charlotte finds an amazing, different way to save him.
This story changed my perspective on small and weak people. They may be small, but their words and actions make them mighty. When I first read this book, it blew my mind to find out that Charlotte saved Wilbur's life and also the way she did it. I would never have imagined a spider being able to spin words into a web. But it came to the point that the characters were so realistic, even as animals, that maybe spiders can do this. As I read the book the second time I realized that spiders probably cant spin words into their webs. But this thought that I had actually began to sound like a metaphor. "...dont doubt a small object, for they will forsee your expectations."
When Charlotte died after getting her egg sac to come out, I felt a whole in my stomach .....This tiny, tiny, tiny small character just made a lump in my throat. This also proved the point that small things can be very mighty. Also knowing that this story is made up didnt make a difference. I still felt for the characters and I still felt like this really can happen in real life. I don't know why, but I felt like I've grown very close to and fond of these characters. The author did an amazing job getting the picture of wat was happining behind the real story in my head.
What I mean when I say "...behind the real story" is that, you can have multiple ideas of what is actually happening. Like thinking deeper. This book already gets you thinking deeper because it is a children book, but you have to think even deeper to get the story behind the real story. So i guess what I'm trying to say is that, even though one obvious story is sticking out to you, look deeper into it to surpass what the author really wanted you to see.
Charlotte's Web is an overall great book. I think that if you ever get the opportunity to read it more than oncce, you should definatly do that. I loved it so much and it changed my perspactive on many things, in a good way and I hope that it can do the same for you. :)

Coraline!!
I personally think that Coraline is the best book ever written on earth!! The concept of the story nd the way the characters evolve from immature kids to mature adults, is great! When characters from any book, have an idea they usually stick to that, but not Coraline Jones. She thinks that her alternate universe is everything she's ever wanted... but she's wrong. The mysterious dangers that lurk behind the small door await the new coming readers.
The details in this book put an amazing detailed image in my head. I can imagine every word that every character would say because of all the detail put into it. I love how the story completly turns around when one character notices something. They all connect comehow and sometimes its through thought or sometimes through actual visual experience.
There are a lot of stories behind the actual story;Who the other mother is,Why she does this,Who's related to Coraline's story and much more. I think this author did a good job of creating a realistic fiction story because some of theses things can happen in real life but some can't. It all links together somehow with the actual real story having to deal with Coraline and the other mother.
I recommend this book to people who can actually sit down and have time to enhale the amazingness of this story. This book has such a strong story line that you have to pay attention and think outside of the box. It is overall just an amazing book, from when I read it in 3rd grade to when im reading it now in 8th grade. I've gotten more mature so I understand the story nd the stories nehind the story better now.

Bridge To Terabithia
"Bridge To Terabithia" is one of the best books ever. It takes my mind on a magical journey to "terabithia". I can feel the passion coming through the book. It's so amazing. The story is inspiring. There are a lot of themes in this story; Love, Friendship,Choosing Wisely, Jealousy, Jealousy in Love and Friendship. These themes pop out a lot during the story.
I recommend this book to people that are willing to take a strong part in this book about two best friends and their stories. When you look at a person sometimes you cant see what they are on the inside but once you get to know them, you can feel what they are on the inside. You may think they have everything, but sometimes they dont. Like when Leslie sees that Jess isnt the richest person, she's shocked.
What I mean by "Jealousy in Love and Freindship" is that you an love someone so much and be their best friend but still be envious. When Jess gets really jealous about Leslie being the fastest he still wants to be her friend. I feel like Jess going with the teacher when Leslie dies and he finds out after, he is jealous that she's getting attention in school so why not go with a teacher? Right?
Over all this book is great. It has so muh to think about and so much thought and feeling that you want to just read it over and over again, just like I did. I've grown so fond of this book it's CRAZY! But Why not fall in love with a book as amazigh as this??
